Principal consultant, Ema Tavola has a deep relationship with South Auckland and the contemporary Pacific art sector; her experience includes:
- 18 years producing creative events in South Auckland
- Former Pacific Arts Coordinator / Manager, Fresh Gallery Ōtara (Manukau City Council, later Auckland Council, 2006-2012)
- Director, Pacific Island Management, Production + Ideas [PIMPI] producing exhibitions and public programming, symposia, readings and launches, festivals and gatherings, research projects and community engagement initiatives
- Former Lecturer in Pacific art histories (Manukau Institute of Technology, 2014-2015)
- Extensive creative sector governance and advisory work (Creative New Zealand, Tautai Contemporary Pacific Art Trust, Ōtāhuhu Steering Group, Oceania Interrupted)
