VV Alchemise and Decolonise Cards

$10

The illustration on this VV card represents the floor plan of Vunilagi Vou 2.0, built in 2020 as an effort to re-think exhibition making in the pandemic era. It shows the gallery’s approach from the suburban driveway, down the side of the garage building, to the entrance of the space, set in a mature garden in residential Papatoetoe, South Auckland.

The illustration was made by curator Ema Tavola to be used in the gallery’s ‘Works List’ handouts, but was only used once for the gallery’s first of four exhibitions, Foloa Koloa – Unfolding my Koloa by Emily and Vea Mafile’o in October-November 2020.

Vunilagi Vou 2.0 represents a continual effort to alchemise and decolonise exhibition making and arts discourse in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The cards are sold in a set of four and come with white envelopes. They are printed on 350gsm responsibly forested paperstock.
